February 2nd, 2013 …an event you do not want to miss. The Storytelling & Arts Center will have a first …Dancing with the Scotland Stars and Arts Desire Auction. Local Scotland County celebrities … politicians, professors, medical stars, coaches, media moguls (HA!) and more.  The Arts Desire Auction Preview begins at 6:30pm and the auction opens for bids at 7pm. The dance competition begins at 7:45 pm. Don’t miss a minute of this fun-filled evening.

You get to watch them shine as they dance for your votes and quarters so that they can be honored with the first Mirror Ball trophy. And the three ‘judges will be a hoot! The Arts Desire Auction will feature fine arts and crafts, antiques and vacations that you will want to make sure to bid on to share with your special someone. It will be a wonderful way to support the Storytelling & Arts Center so it can continue to provide wonderful activities that enrich your life and bring new dollars to grow the economy of our county.

The dancing couples will have several opportunities to win a trophy … audience favorite dancers, judges favorite dancers, most in the money jar, triple crown, funniest costume, funniest dance routine, fanciest costume, most creative costume, and others. The dancers will be spaced throughout the evening, between eating delectable appetizers prepared by Frances Willis, arts’ auction and audience dancing.

Take advantage of The Arts Desire Auction for Valentine Day presents … it will have donated visual and performing art, antiques, vacations, and many other items.

Remember not only will you have a wonderful time, you will help raise funds to make sure that the Storytelling & Arts Center has the resources to continue to serve this community. Call 910-277-3599 for reservations.  Bring a table full and make it a party. Click here for the reservation cards and invitation .
